Mel Brooks gets star on Hollywood Walk of Fame (AP)

LOS ANGELES – Nobody could say people travel all over Mel Brooks. Until now.

The comedian, actor as well as writer who gave the world "Blazing Saddles," "Young Frankenstein" as well as "The Producers" got the star Friday upon the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Brooks received the 2,406th star during the rite in front of the Egyptian Theatre. His son, Max, as well as friend, Carl Reiner, attended.

Brooks, who's 83, has won Emmy, Grammy, Oscar as well as Tony awards.

He's working upon the low-pitched chronicle of "Blazing Saddles."
