Mel Gibson to donate movie sets to Mexican museum (AP)

VERACRUZ, Mexico – The governor of a Mexican Gulf seashore state of Veracruz says Mel Gibson will donate sets from a film he's currently filming to a future museum.

Gov. Fidel Herrera says multiform sets were built inside a Ignacio Allende prison in a pier city of Veracruz as well as that a jail will be converted into a museum once Gibson is done filming.

In January, 1,500 inmates were eliminated out of a jail to have room for Gibson's film, that began production this week as well as is tentatively patrician "How I Spent My Summer Vacation."

Gibson filmed his 2006 Mayan-language film "Apocalypto" in Veracruz.

Herrera said Gibson additionally donated some of a sets from that movie.
